KARIN SLAUGHTER'S KNITTING CONTEST!!!

I've commissioned two original knitting patterns for all you knitters out there. Choose which project you want to do, either the fairly simple Ted Bundy Knit Hat or the more difficult Jeffrey Dahmer Boiled Wool Book Bag (hey, why not do both?). Take a picture of your completed project and send it in to Webmaster Beth and we will choose the best entry for each project. Here's an early entry. Well, kinda.

Feel free to stray from the guidelines and make it as creeptastic as you can. Multiple entries are encouraged. The patterns (PDFs) are here:

The Fine Print:

By entering your photo, you give me permission to display it on my website. For other people to see, and maybe laugh at. With your name. Maybe with your city/state/country. And maybe even with snarky comments about your knitting ability/lack thereof. You don't get bonus points having a cute cat in the photo too, but you will make me say "awwwwwwwww, look at the widdle kitty!" in a nauseatingly cute voice.

All photos must have an e-mail timestamp or a postal date stamp before midnight August 20, 2007. Atlanta time, smarty pants.

You can send digital photographs to knit07@karinslaughter.com. They need to be no larger than 100K in size (.jpg format preferred). If you need to mail a printed photograph (which can't be returned), send it to Karin's Contest, c/o CincinnatiMedia, PO Box 32188, Cincinnati OH 45217.

The contest winner will be announced on August 27, 2007, or as soon after that as I remember. No fair nagging.

There's probably other fine print I didn't think of, so just remember that I'm going to do whatever I feel like at the time because, after all, the whole contest is named after ME.

You know what? Knitting's too hard. And I'm not coordinated enough to walk across the room without falling down, and besides I have the patience of a 2-year-old who wants her way NOWnowNOWnowNOW. I think I'd rather sit.
